Rosie by Jackson Browne

The song Rosie was co-written by Jackson and Donald "Buddha" Miller who is now Jackson's manager. The song is about a soundman letting a groupie into the show who he naturally loses to the drummer. The now jilted soundman chides himself for briefly forgetting "it's who you look like/Not who you are", and resorts to masturbation; Rosie is his HAND. If you still don't get it, listen to the words more closely: "you wear my ring" and "I've got to hand it to me".
